1. What We Collect & Cookie Preferences
When you use ResumeXray, we collect:
- Account Data: Name, email address, hashed password (for local accounts), or OAuth profile (Google).
- Resume Data: The text content extracted from your uploaded PDF/DOCX. Stored for scan history and optimization.
- Job Description Data: Text or URLs you provide for JD matching.
- Usage Data: IP address (hashed), browser type, scan timestamps, feature usage.
- Payment Data: Processed by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers.
We use cookies to ensure our platform functions securely. Upon your first visit, you will be presented with a preference center to manage these technologies.
- Essential Cookies: Required for core platform functionality (e.g., secure login, session routing, and Stripe payment processing). These cannot be disabled.

2. How We Use It

3. AI Processing
Your resume text is processed by third-party AI models (OpenAI / Google Gemini) for semantic analysis, bullet optimization, and cover letter generation. We do not train AI models on your personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Stripe: Payment processing.
- AI Providers: OpenAI or Google Gemini for text analysis.
- Hosting: Our infrastructure provider for service delivery.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained until account deletion. Scan data: 12 months. Guest scan data (IP-based): purged daily.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You may: access, correct, delete, or export your data. Email privacy@resumexray.pro.

For users accessing ResumeXray from the European Economic Area (EEA), your data is processed and stored on secure servers located within the EU. We do not transfer your personal resume data outside the EEA without utilizing Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally approved transfer mechanisms.

1. Acceptance
By using ResumeXray, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
ResumeXray provides ATS resume analysis, AI-powered optimization, and document generation. Scans and AI features are free. Exports require credits.
3. Credits & Payments
- Credits are non-refundable once used for exports.
- Unused credits do not expire while your account is active.
- Payments processed via Stripe. Prices subject to change with 30 days' notice.
4. AI-Generated Content & Professional Disclaimer
ResumeXray utilizes artificial intelligence to provide diagnostic feedback and semantic optimization suggestions. We are a software tool, not an employment agency or employer. We do not make hiring decisions, and our simulated ATS parse rates are algorithmic estimations based on industry standards, not guarantees of employment. You retain full editorial control and assume sole responsibility for reviewing the accuracy, factual integrity, and tone of all AI-generated content before submitting it to a prospective employer.
5. Limitation of Liability (Global & EU Specific)
For users outside the European Union: ResumeXray and its services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
For users within the European Union: We are liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties) limited to typical, foreseeable damages. Nothing in these Terms shall limit our strict liability under the EU Product Liability Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/2853) regarding software defects causing data corruption, or our liability for injury to life, body, or health.

We may terminate accounts violating these terms. You may delete your account at any time via Profile.

Governed by United States law. Disputes resolved through binding arbitration.
